A flexible tentacle attaches to a bone/cloud. Together, they extend beyond the wall and into space, opening up for new inter-actions. In addition to being a relational piece, the work explores technology, geography, and the human sensorium.

In the activation sessions, pieces are pulled from the installation and are worn by participants. The joined pieces become a walking device and the mirror on the bone/cloud becomes a screen to look down at. By looking down one sees up, collapsing earth and sky, and making one a foreigner to their own body and environment. What happens when you can’t see your next step? Moving in pairs, participants form a network, guiding through different forms of communication, using the voice, sound, touch, and trust as they navigate the space together.
